Quality-wise Melissa offers "OK" pictures and videos. The following image is an example of what you will find in Melissa's member's area:
Personally I feel there is a lot of room for improvement. Melissa is one of the more popular solo girls on the Internet and she can easily put up extremely high-resolution pictures but instead she offers pictures in the 800x600 resolution range.
The videos are also a little disappointing in terms of quality. They are anywhere from 1 minute to 10 minutes in length and are far from high-definition. They aren't of poor quality but don't join Melissa looking for extremely high-definition videos or extremely high-res pictures.
When it comes to what the pictures and videos display, the content is very fulfilling. As of 2008 if you're looking for hardcore stuff Melissa is putting out plenty of it. When it comes to the videos, you do NOT have the option of streaming them or any option as to format (they're all in Windows Media, .wmv, format). The links go directly to the .wmv page and it recommends you right click and select "Save Target As" (Save Link As in Firefox).
If Melissa were offering larger videos then this would be a problem but with the largest videos being around 50MB tops it's not a big deal if you have a broadband connection. Plus, if you're still on dial-up you might appreciate having some smaller clips that you can download.

As I will say in every review that I write, rating update frequency is tricky because it's subject to change at any time. I almost always consider pay-sites to be over priced usually because of a lack of content. But with Melissa Midwest I think you're getting a bargain. I have a full membership so I don't know what a $4.95 limited 3 day trial will get you but the full $29.37 membership is definitely fair given the amount of content that Melissa gives you.
In fact, while I almost never recommend that people purchase more than one month at a time (in case you don't like it and want to cancel your membership), in Melissa's case I think you are best getting the 3 month membership. $69.37 divided by 3 months works out to $23.12 / month so at the end of the 3 months you're saving $18.75.
All in all if you're a fan of Melissa Midwest and have thought about getting a membership then I highly recommend her. Just don't pay looking for extremely high resolution images or high-def movies. If you don't mind pictures around 800x600 and 5 minute video clips then you'll be very happy with your membership.
